Police Arrest Two Notorious Robbery Suspects In Enugu

ekiti drivers-police-oyo-akwa ibomAkwa Ibom State Police Command on Thursday honoured five of its men for various acts of gallantry.

The State Commissioner of Police (CP), Murtala Mani, presented certificates of courage to the five men at the Police Force headquarters in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

Presenting the certificates, the CP described the honour as a morale booster aimed at encouraging excellent performance among officers and men of the command.

Mr Mani urged them not to relent in their quest to ensure safety of lives and property.

The CP had earlier addressed officers and men of the reformed Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) in their new uniform were he gave the assurance that with the launch of the FSARS, there would be no hiding place for criminals in the state.

Speaking to Channels Television, the CP spoke on measures taken by the command to curb armed robbery, kidnapping and other crimes in the state.

He expressed satisfaction that the measures have yielded positive results.

The new FSARS is an initiative of the Inspector General of Police to give a new corporate image and ensure uniform operations for the squad nationwide.
