The Main Organizing Committee of the Channels National Kids Cup are calling for entries from Lagos State Schools that are interested in featuring in season eight of the grassroots football competition.
The tournament is strictly for pupils currently in primary school and not above the age of 13 at the date of commencement of the football event.
Supported by the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), the 2016 edition retains the 16-team format with players from other regions of the federation converging on Lagos to compete for the trophy.
According to organising committee, the Lagos State preliminaries would be played on knock-out basis and the deadline for collection of forms is March 31, 2016.
Schools in Lagos can pick up application forms free of charge at Channels Television headquarters, Isheri North, SUBEB sports office, Maryland and the office of the Lagos State Football Association at Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island.
The Lagos preliminaries is scheduled for April 19 to 22, 2016.
The tournament which is aimed at discovering young talents and promoting the game of football at the grassroots level is a corporate social responsibility programme of Channels Television.
