Bernard Mikko -PDPA member of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), Bernard Mikko, has expressed worry over the process that produced Ali Modu Sheriff as the National Chairman of the party.

He claimed that the process is illegal.

Speaking to Channels Television on Sunrise Daily, the PDP member pointed out that there is a court order that prevents Prince Uche Secondus from parading himself as the acting National Chairman of the party, saying the circumstances behind the emergence of Sheriff as the Chairman is a complete contempt of court on the part of Secondus.

“There is a court order against Prince Secondus not to parade himself as acting National Chairman of the party and with that it means he cannot preside over the national caucus, NWC and even NEC,” he said.

Mr Mikko revealed that Ahmed Gulak went to the court to demand for the National Chairman from the North east, but it was not granted.

He went further to say that Gulak remains the Chairman of the party.

The PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) on Tuesday appointed Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the party’s new National Chairman.

The decision was reached at the NEC held at the opposition party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
