CityManager Manuel Pellegrini insists Manchester City still has work to do after the UEFA Champions League last-16 first-leg win over Dynamo Kiev.

City produced one of their best performances of the season to put one foot in the quarter-finals with a 3-1 victory in Ukraine on Wednesday night.

First-half goals from Sergio Aguero and David Silva put city in control before Yaya Toure made the result safe late on.

Vitaliy Buyalskiy pulled one back with a deflected shot during a Dynamo fightback.

City will feel the result justified, boss Pellegrini’s decision to field a weakened side in the FA Cup.

Having taken dominion of their Champions League last-16, it is hoped that Manchester City would give their best in England to proceed to the quarter-final of the competition.
