The Sun Awards, since inception in 2003, has been tailored to honour distinguished personalities who excel in their chosen fields.
The 13th edition held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos. The Chairman and Publisher of The Sun Newspapers, Mr Orji Uzor Kalu, declared the event open with his welcome address.
Some of the important personalities at the event include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano and his wife; Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode; former Lagos Governor and APC leader, Bola Tinubu and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
A total of 19 personalities were honoured at the 2016 edition of the Sun Awards.
