
Honourable Dogara lamented the Kano market inferno, urging the citizens to be proactive in preventing such incident.

‘Fate From God’
In a statement by his spokesman, Yakubu Fagge, Dogara described fire incident as the most dangerous disaster that has no territorial boundary.
He also urged Kano people to accept the inferno as a ‘fate from God’.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, however, asked the people to be godly in all their affairs, emphasising that “it is only through total submission to God, that disasters are quenched to minimal”.
Honourable Dogara then prayed for the quick recovery of the property lost.
It was on Friday midnight, that fire engulfed the historic Sabon-Gari Market in Kano, rendering hundreds of shops and property worth millions destroyed.
The cause of the fire, which started on Friday night and reportedly lasted till early Saturday morning, has not been known.
According to witnesses, the fire started around the Sani Abacha Mosque where books and other items were sold, before spreading to Gidan Magge.
