Civil Defence The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Osun State has agreed to monitor all activities at the filling stations to ensure decorum and order.

This came as Nigerians continue to lament the hardship faced at most filling stations who sell at the control price.

While most filling stations do not have fuel, those who have the product have cars trickling in one after the other as the fuel is still sold between 160 a‎nd 200 Naira.

However, the NNPC mega station along the Ring Road West Bye-Pass in Osogbo the state capital was besieged by motorists and cyclists all scrambling to ensure they get petrol‎ but for the intervention of the State Commandant of the Civil Defence.

With calm restored, the Osun State Commandant, Ayodele Phillips, told Channels Television that the Civil Defence would collaborate with the Police to restore order and sanity to the petrol stations in order to ensure that all those on the long queue are attended to.

On the allegations that some security agents were disrupting orderliness in the fuel selling process, the NSCDC Commandant said that security agents must learn to focus on their constitutional duties despite pressing issues around them.

In the meantime, Nigerians have continued to urge the Federal Government to intensify efforts and ensure that petrol supply flows across all states as promised.
