Abuja-FCTAThe Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is asking individuals and communities within to work towards improving the sanitary conditions in their areas of abode.

This is coming as part of efforts to ensure a clean and green environment within Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, and its environs.

The Permanent Secretary of FCTA, Dr. Babatope Ajakaiye, made the call while addressing a news conference on Friday.

He said that the society was increasingly becoming negligent in matters of sanitation, stressing that most people were losing the tradition of engaging in household and community cleanliness.

Dr. Ajakaiye also emphasised the need for residents of the Federal Capital Territory to desist from indiscriminate disposal of waste.
