A group of protesters in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital, took to the streets on Friday, to express their displeasure against alleged mismanagement of the resources by the current administration in the state.

The protesters, who were led by a coalition of society groups, expressed disappointment with the state government’s alleged inability to pay workers salary for several months.

The South-West Coordinator, Be the Change Organization (BCO), Mrs Omotunde Fajuyi, said all Nigerians must join in the fight against corruption in order to achieve the desired results.

However, the Ekiti State Government, through the Governor’s Special Assistant on Public Communications, Mr Lere Olayinka, said the protest was sponsored by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
