benue State stolen fund As part of efforts to revive the economy of Benue State, the Benue Youth Movement for Good Governance is appealing to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to commence investigation into how 107 billion Naira was allegedly stolen from the state’s treasury.

Addressing a joint news conference in Abuja on Sunday, the President of the Benue Youth Movement, Terrence Kuanum, pointed out that Benue State remained one of the poorest states in Nigeria due to the mismanagement of funds by previous administrations.

Also speaking at the joint news conference, the National Coordinator of the Conference of Minority Tribes in Nigeria, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, urged the EFCC to immediately delete Mr Abdulrasheed Maina’s name from the no fly list of the Nigeria immigration service.

The group claims that allowing Mr Maina’s name on the no fly list after a five court verdicts against the commission was a clear case of corruption.
