The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday.
Nigeria is now ranked 70 in the world and 16th in Africa, a position they share with Congo.
This is Nigeria’s lowest rank in recent years.
Algeria remain number one in Africa and 32 in the world followed by Cameroon, Ghana, Senegal and Egypt.
Argentina maintained top position in the world, Belgium and Columbia also remained at second and third.
European champions Portugal moved up two places and are now sixth, Spain dropped two places to eighth while Wales are now eleventh in the log.
