Senate Receives Letter Seeking Magu’s Confirmation As EFCC Chairman

The Senate has received a letter from the Presidency for the confirmation of the appointment of Mr Ibrahim Magu as Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The letter, which was read at plenary by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, also seeks the confirmation of Mr Ndasule Moses, Lawan Mamman, Galadanci Imam, and Adeleke Rafiu as members of the commission.

Mr Ibrahim Magu replaced former EFCC boss, Ibrahim Lamorde in Acting capacity in November 2015 after the former Chairman was removed by President Buhari.

Mr Magu, who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police, was one of the deputies of the former EFCC boss.
