The new Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Hammed Iliyasu, has promised a paradigm shift in the way security of life and property is being handled in the state.
Mr Iliyasu made the pledge in his address to staff of the Ogun State Police Command when he assumed duty in Abeokuta, state capital in southwest Nigeria.
He solicited for better understanding between the Police and other security agencies operating in the state.
Before his appointment as Ogun CP, Iliyasu was the Deputy Commandant of the Police Staff College, Jos.
He replaced the former Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, who has been promoted and is now the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2, which comprises of Lagos and Ogun states.
Meanwhile AIG Ali has also given his road map for the security of both states, especially in the face of the recent suspected militants’ invasion of some communities in the state.
