The Imo State Police Command has arrested over 30 persons suspected to be criminals involved in kidnapping, child stealing, armed robbery and car snatching.
Parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Owerri, the capital of Imo State in southeast Nigeria, the Commissioner of Police Taiwo Lakanu, commended the intelligence information by strategic members of the public.
One of the major breakthrough is the arrest of a soldier, one Bright Nwaogwugwu, attached to 33 Artillery Brigade in Bauchi State, who doubles as a leader of a dangerous four-man gang operating along Ohoba, Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.
Some of the items recovered from the suspects include guns, pistols, plasma Televisions and generating sets.
