Edo Election: INEC Introduces ERM Tool For Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has introduced the Electoral Risk Management (ERM) tool to its staff and electorate ahead of the Edo State governorship election.

The ERM tool facilitator, Emem Umoren at a one day training for INEC staff in Benin City, the Edo State capital, said the goal of the ERM tool is to serve as early warning system against violence and promote coordination between INEC, security agencies and other stakeholders.

She said the tool was successfully used for the 2015 election as well as the Kogi State governorship election.
