Fayose,Committee Report, Welfare Of TeachersThe Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, has received the report of the committee set up to look into several issues affecting the welfare and performance of teachers across the state.

Receiving the report at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, the governor ordered the immediate implementation of the report.

Following several complaints by the teachers, Governor Fayose at a meeting last month, directed that a committee should be set up to address the issues and make recommendations.

Some of the welfare issues according to the teachers, were ranging from salary irregularities, promotions, leave bonuses, and over deductions to mention a few.

After weeks of meeting with the teachers affected, the committee chairman, Folu Oguntoyinbo, finally presented its findings and recommendations to the governor, who then ordered an immediate implementation.

Governor Fayose while speaking to newsmen, re-iterated that his administration remains committed to improving the welfare and performance of teachers in the state.

The Chairman, Nigerian Union Of Teachers Ekiti State, Kayode Akosile, expressed gratitude on behalf of the teachers.

He also assured the governor of the teachers support in driving its administration’s education policies.
