APC Governors, Progressive Governors, APCNigeria’s President,  Muhammadu Buhari on Monday held a meeting with the progressive governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The meeting bordered on several issues as they affect national development.

The governors came out of the meeting with an appeal to Nigerians to be patient with the administration as it will soon pull Nigerians out of the woods.

Chairman of the Progressive Governor’s Forum and the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, said that they were particularly pleased with the President on the release of the Chibok girls and pleaded with the President to do all in his powers to ensure the release of the rest of the girls.

The governors commend the efforts so far in the agricultural sector and the fight against corruption and called on the federal government to sustain the efforts.

Details of the meeting were earlier not made known to journalists and there were speculations that the governors may have been piqued by some of the actions of the President which may not have been favourable with the APC governors.

One of such is the ambassadorial list which many say has not favoured the governors’ choices.

The governors present at the meeting include the chairman of the governors forum Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state, Ogun State’s Ibukunle Amosun, Edo State’s Adams Oshiomhole, as well as the governors of Kano, Borno , Kogi,  Benue and Kaduna State.

Those who are not present had their deputies to represent them.

The meeting kicked off at noon.
