The candidate of the Alliance for Democracy(AD) in the Ondo State gubernatorial election, Olusola Oke has vowed that if elected as governor, his administration will endeavour to ensure prudent management of the state’s resources, transparency and accountable to the people.
Mr Oke stated this while addressing a large crowd of party members and loyalists in Isua-Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko South East Local Government Area of the state while his campaign train visited the area.
The AD candidate along with his running mate, Ganny Dauda and his team first paid homage to the traditional rulers in each town visited for prayers and support for his aspiration. Thereafter, the campaign proceeded to town where the governorship candidate will address the crowd.
From Ipe to Epinmi, Isua, Sosan, Ifira, Ipesi as well as other settlements in the local government, Olusola Oke delivered his message of better governance to the people, assuring them that his administration will bring an end to poverty, hunger and unemployment in the State.
While addressing a large crowd of supporters in Isua, Oke stressed that his administration will focus on reviving the moribund industries, boosting agricultural production and developing the rural communities.
” Our mission is to bring back all the dead companies and all those yet to be completed. “Our government also intervene agriculture, we will give our farmers seedlings, fertilizers and give them access to single digit loans so the agriculture can prosper.”
“We will not stop at this, we will develop our coastal resources, we will ensure Olokola is brought back on stream, with Olokola the economy will be turned around. “We will endeavour to ensure that we bring prudent management into our resources, government will be transparent, government will be accountable in the management of our resources.”
“In this regard, we will put in place an allocation committee that is constituted by representatives of the workers, religious leaders, traditional rulers and government to ensure that whatever accrues to the State is known to everybody and the utilization is made accountable.”
“We will intervene in the area of roads, especially in the area of rural integration.
Today, most of our rural communities are not accessible and that is where the wealth of this state lies.”
“We will ensure that we open up the rural areas, we will build agric villages to attract competent hands into agriculture.”
“Our mission is to develop an economy that is capable of generating wealth for our people” he vowed.
The people of Akoko South East local government area received Olusola Oke with much enthusiasm, it is hoped that this will translate to massive vote for him in the election.
