According to the council’s Director General, Mr Segun Awolowo, the role of the commission is to assist in fixing this deficit.

Mr Awolowo explained that 75 candidates have just been trained in fashion designing, through the African Growth and Opportunity Act.

According to him, 25 of them have also been given automatic employment through a Public Private Partnership Programme.

The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) is a United States Trade Act, which was enacted on May 18, 2000, as Public Law 106 of the 200th Congress.

The Act offers tangible incentives for African countries to continue their efforts to open their economies and build free markets.
