Nigeria’s women’s U-20 national team, the Falconets, have crashed out of the Fifa under-20 women’s world cup holding in Papua New Guinea.
The team on Sunday morning stunned Spain 2-1 to record their second victory in Group B.
However, the six points were not enough to see the team through to the quarter-finals, after they finished in third spot with a minus three goals difference.
Spain, however, finished in second position with same six points but with a superior goal difference.
Japan finished top of the group also with six points after a 5-0 thrashing of Canada.
