Ondo Police Boss Demands Better Sensitization Of Citizens On SecurityAll officers of the Ondo State Police Command have been urged to intensify efforts in sensitizing the members of the public towards ensuring the security of lives and property of the people.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison stated this while chatting with journalists after meeting with Police officers in the state at the Police Officers’ Mess in Akure, the state capital.

She said that they should go back to their various communities to organise stakeholders’ meetings with the farmers, herdsmen, market women, artisans and government workers ‎and sensitize them that security is everybody’s business.

She said: “All officers have been gathered here again to sensitize them as ‎to their role in this period. They must ensure they go back and continue with the stakeholders’ meetings between farmers, herdsmen, market women, persons in the local government areas, traders to ensure that they are sensitized as to the fact that security is everybody’s business.

“Very soon, persons will be travelling out of their homes and we need to talk to them to ensure that their environment is safe for them to.”

The CP warned criminals to steer clear of Ondo State and equally appealed to youths in the state to remain law abiding.

“I always tell them to steer clear of Ondo State, the youths, you’re good, you have been good, you have demonstrated ‎it before now, I know you will continue to demonstrate your usefulness to Ondo. State. Please remain law abiding,” she said.
