Osun SUBEB Confirms 8,605 Persons Registered For N-Power

N-power, Job PortalThe Federal Government’s N-Power Social Investment Programme has been launched in Kogi State, targeting about 4,521 indigenes of the State.

At the flag off of the programme on Wednesday, beneficiaries were asked to be good ambassadors of a new Nigeria which was practically demonstrated in their selection without giving room for political consideration.

The state coordinator of the N-Power Social Investment Programme, Adoga Ibrahim, gave the admonition while flagging off the programme in the Central and Eastern Senatorial Districts of the state.

He urged the beneficiaries to give out their best in the two-year period of the scheme aimed at creating employment for the teeming Nigerian youths.

In Okene Local Government Area of the state, Mr Ibrahim, who represented Governor Yahaya Bello, lauded the exercise of President Muhammadu Buhari which he said would reduced poverty and unemployment.

He urged the beneficiaries to display a good sense of responsibility in the discharge of their duties.

”The N-Power Corps is an initiative which will engage 500,000 young unemployed graduates and will harness the energies and skills of graduates to provide teaching solutions in education, agriculture extension services and public health,” he said.

The Kogi State Social Investment Programme’s office has designed a grassroot plan which ensure registration of the programme at all 21 local government areas of the state before the deadline of August 31, 2016. Registration for the programme was done via N-Power website – www.npower.gov.ng

 

Following the successful registration and screening of the applicants, the Social Investment Programme office domiciled in the office of the Vice President and headed by the Special Adviser to the President on Social Investment Programme has released the first batch of successful N-Power applicant for the various programmes.
