Bill To Prohibit Illegal Land Occupation Read At Nasarawa AssemblyA bill for the law to prohibit illegal entry and forceful occupation of land in Nasarawa state has passed first reading at the state House of Assembly.

The bill was sponsored by the lawmaker representing Kokona East constituency, Daniel Ogazi.

Another bill for a law to control and regulate rent rate in Nasarawa state was passed.

Daniel Ogazi said that the bill is aimed at regulating violent and fraudulent conducts in land dealings in the state.

The sponsor of the second bill to control rent rate, Kasim Muhammad Kasim of Akwanga South noted that if the bill is passed into law, it would regulate the expensive rate of rent in the state.

After secondment of motion of the two bills by Agah Mulluku of Nasarawa Eggon East and Peter Mbucho of Akwanga North, the Speaker, Mr Balarabe Abdullahi assured that the bills would be considered for second reading when they return from recess.
