A’isha, who had delivered a new born baby at the Federal Medical Center of the state was arrested with two other suspects, Hauwa’u Ibrahim of Kofar Kaura and a nursing staff of the State Federal Medical Center, Ogugua Okohtwo.
They conspired and sold a four-month old baby at the cost of 200,000 Naira to Mrs Grace Ohuhu, a resident in Abia State through her sister Joy Ihenamere who resides in Katsina state.
The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Usman Ali Abdullahi, while confirming the incident to journalists at the State Police Headquarters, stated that the sum of 200,000 Naira was given to the victim’s colleague, Hauwa’u to take care of herself.
