Sultan, Ooni Call For Promotion Of National Unity

Sultan of Sokoto

No country can survive two civil wars, which makes the call for national unity at this time very paramount.

These were the words of the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III during the Traditional Rulers’ Day, as part of activities to mark the 50th anniversary of Rivers State.

The event brought together royal fathers from within the state and across the country, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

The traditional rulers called for concerted efforts by all to ensure that there is peace and unity in the country.
