Kaduna Dep. Gov Commends War Against TerrorismTroops of 233 Battalion, 27 Task Force Brigade, of the Forward Operation Base, Nigerian Army, in conjunction with vigilantes have arrested a notorious Boko Haram terrorist, Abubakar Adamu, also known as Pepper.

Adamu aged 35 years was on Sunday arrested around the new prison area, Potiskum, Potiskum Local Government Area (LGA) of Yobe State.

In a statement by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, says the investigation shows that the suspected terrorist hailed from Yerimara village, Potiskum LGA and has participated in carrying out attacks and other terrorist activities in the northeast.

He added that the investigation is still ongoing.

In a related development, combined troops of 231 and 331 Battalions foiled an armed robbery attempt at Chanchara village, Shani LGA.

They recovered an AK-47 Rifle, machetes and ammunition.
