President of Nigeria Badminton Federation Justice Danlami Senchi has defeated the incumbent president of Badminton Confederation of Africa Mr Larry Keys of South Africa to emerge the new leader of the body.

At the elections which was held in Gold Coast, Australia, Senchi received a total 63 votes as against 32 votes that was gathered by Keys.

According to the newly elected president, the victory is for all lovers of badminton in Africa and beyond.

“Well let me give Allah the Glory for journey mercies because it’s a long trip leaving my continent, Africa, to come contest for this big position. It’s also interesting for you to know that I have dedicated victory to all lovers of badminton even my friend Mr Larry keys of South Africa for all he’s been doing our confederation, BCA, I salute you,” Senchi said.

“Finally, I believe it’s going to be a good era for badminton in Africa, thus, I urged you to support me.”
