The acting Chairman of the  Economic an Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ibrahim Magu has vowed to continue the anti-corruption fight despite the resistance from some quarters saying he would bring all corrupt officials to book in 12 months.

“Some people are celebrating corruption and even saying that we should not punish corruption and im happy to tell you that they have failed in their master plan to frustrate us and the fight has just started – Just give me 12 months and you will not see them again.”

He said this at the inauguration of the south west zonal office of the EFCC.

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN) who represented the acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo said the recent release of the national anti-corruption strategy document is a testament to the unwavering resolve of the government to deal with corruption.

Meanwhile in his address, the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi noted that the fight against corruption must be embraced by all.

He, therefore, urged the National Assembly to have a re-think and confirm Ibrahim Magu as the substantive boss of the anti-graft agency.
