The Yobe state Governor Ibrahim Gaidam has commended a member of the House of Representative Hon Bukar Goni, for distributing materials aimed at alleviating sufferings of the less privilege in the state.

Addressing personalities at the occasion, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam said the law maker has made him proud having done exceptionally well and urged others to emulate him.

The law maker according to the governor has help solved the numerous unemployment problems bedeviling his constituency, the state and by extension the country as a whole.

The governor said the efforts of the law maker will go a long way in complementing the efforts of his administration in alleviating poverty among vulnerable groups such as; women and the youths.

“Hon Bukar Goni has done exceptionally well by complementing the efforts of our administration in empowering the less privilege and by this I want to urge other law makers to emulate him”

The Speaker House of Representative Hon Yakubu Dogara represented by Hon Ado Doguwa also commended the lawmaker for carrying out several empowerment programmes which according to him has brought pride to the National Assembly.

He called on beneficiaries to make the best use of the materials in improving their lives and the society as a whole.

“Let me at this point commend the initiator of the programme and to call on the beneficiaries of the empowerment materials to make the best use of it for the purpose intended” Dala Dogo said

The initiator of the programme Hon Bukar Goni said items acquired for distribution include 77 tricycles and three Sharon Buses and handing over of keys of five classroom blocks renovated at Juluri Primary school in Bursari Local Government area.

The law maker also disclosed that he will sponsor the construction of Dapchi mini stadium that will engaged and encourage the youth positively in sporting activities.

“Apart from the empowerment materials distributed, I am also embarking on the construction of the Dapchi mini stadium which if completed, it will encourage sport participation among our youth.

“By this, the nation will have opportunity to fish out talents who excel in the various sports that will be played here and I call on the government at all levels to assist me to actualize this huge dream” Hon Goni said.

The initiator is currently representing Bursari, Geidam and Yunusari federal constituency at the National assembly.
