Pacquiao's Age Is Question Mark For Horn Fight, Says Bob Arum

Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan, BoxingWelterweight boxing champion Manny Pacquiao arrived in Brisbane on Saturday ahead of his world welterweight title defence against Australian challenger Jeff Horn.

The 11-time world champion and his American trainer Freddie Roach were greeted by eager fans at Brisbane airport ahead of the “Battle of Brisbane”, a clash billed by local media to be the highest profile match ever held on Australian soil.

Although 29-year-old Horn, a former school teacher, goes in as an underdog against the eight-division world champion, the Pacquiao camp are not taking him lightly.

“I never think there is an easy fight, this is a world title fight. The thing is that everything is on the line here, everyone’s going to show their best. I mean let’s face it, this is dream come true for anyone and as for Horn, I’m sure he hasn’t taken this lightly at all and we haven’t either. We never take a fight lightly, that’s not how Manny Pacquiao thinks,” Roach told reporters.

The bout takes place at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday (July 2).
