The body of the late elder statesman, Maitama Sule has arrived in Kano where hundreds of symphatisers have been waiting to take part in his funeral.

The mourners and sympathizers had trooped to his residence to register their condolences to the family, people and the government of Kano State.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje together with the Bauchi State Governor Muhammad Abubakar are now receiving visitors before the funeral prayers which is expected to take place at the Emir of Kano’s Palace,

Governor Ganduje who believes it would be hard for Nigeria to fill the void left by the Dan Masani urged Kano residents and Nigerians to continue to pray for him especially for his service to national development.

The governor of Bauchi State recalled that the late elder statesman was responsible for the eradication of the scourge of apartheid when he led the United Nations committee of anti-apartheid.
