Super Eagles chief coach, Salisu Yusuf has named FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, as captain of the team ahead of African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Benin Republic.
Ezenwa is also a key member of the Super Eagles squad under Technical Adviser Genot Rohr.
The Home-Based Eagles are currently intensifying preparations in Kano for their 2018 CHAN qualifier.
The first leg of the qualifier will hold in Cotonou on August 3 with the return leg a week after.
Enyimba’s defender Chima Akas will be the team assistant captain.
