Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, described Neymar’s prospective record-breaking transfer to Paris Saint-Germain as ‘beyond rationality’.
The Frenchman was speaking at a news conference in London on Thursday ahead of his side’s Community Shield match against Premier League champions Chelsea.

Wenger said it is difficult to respect Financial Fair Play regulations when a state owns a football club and views a player like Neymar as a good investment for their country.
The Arsenal manager also said his side cannot compete at the same financial level as PSG and that a player is worth whatever a buying club can afford to spend.
Also, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho said Neymar’s €222m (£198m) transfer to Paris-St Germain is “not expensive” but the consequences will cause “problems”.
“Expensive are the ones who get into a certain level without a certain quality. For €200m, I don’t think Neymar is expensive.
“I think he’s expensive in the fact that now you are going to have more players at €100m, you are going have more players at €80m and more players at €60m. And I think that’s the problem.
“Neymar is one of the best players in the world, commercially he is very strong and for sure PSG thought about it.
“So I think the problem is not Neymar, I think the problem is the consequences of Neymar.”
