 ‘The Dark Tower’ based on the popular series by author Stephen King – looks set to hit the top spot of this weekend’s US box office.

The film, which stars Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey, is expected to make around $20 million over the weekend.

Falling from last week’s top spot to second place is Christopher Nolan’s “Dunkirk” which looks set to make $16.3 million.

Despite being critically savaged, “The Emoji Movie” hangs in the top three, expected to make a further $14.2 million.

The fourth and fifth place is expected to go to comedy “Girls Trip” and true-life drama “Detroit” respectively, although the predictions are close with “Girls Trip” expected to make $12.8 million and “Detroit” $12.5 million.
