The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the rescue of four persons reportedly kidnapped alongside two others in the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mr Nnamdi Omoni, told Channels Television on Monday that the victims were kidnapped in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, they were travelling in a commercial bus through Port Harcourt when they were attacked by hoodlums late on Sunday.
Mr Omoni said the rescued victims are currently receiving treatment at the hospital while men of the Command are still combing the bushes to rescue the other two persons.
He added that the driver of the bus sustained gunshot injuries.
