Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho says the club will start their Premier League season with a positive feeling.

The Portuguese coach stated this on Wednesday after the Red Devils lost 2-1 to Real Madrid in the Super Cup title match in Macedonia.

“The Champions League winner (Real) obviously has a different potential than the Europa League winner (United). So, for us to come here and to do the positive things that we did, I think we have to go with a good feeling and we have to start the Premier League on Sunday with a positive feeling and the great experience,” he said.

“Going to the Champions League in September, if we don’t get Real Madrid we can get another of the top teams in Europe, one of the champions of the best leagues and I think this, this Super Cup was a really good experience for us.”

It is the fourth time that the Champions League winners Real are lifting the Super Cup trophy and they are the first team to retain the trophy since AC Milan in 1990.

Goals in Skopje on Tuesday came from Casemiro in the first half and Isco in the second for Real.

New signing Romulu Lukaku scored the only goal for Manchester United, the Europa League champions.
