Kenya’s opposition coalition on Friday called on the election commission to grant it access to its computer servers, saying it would accept the results of Tuesday’s election based on the figures recorded there.

Opposition candidate, Raila Odinga has rejected provisional results announced so far, which put him well behind President Uhuru Kenyatta with nearly all the votes tallied.

In the Kibera slum of Nairobi, an Odinga stronghold where small clashes erupted two days ago when results showed Kenyatta in the lead, youths were burning tyres and building barricades but the situation was largely calm.

Police urged the residents to apply the community policing and not attack their neighbours.
