Nigeria playing Egypt during Afrobasket championship on Sunday

D’Tigress guard Ezine Kalu said the team will not get complacent despite their impressive start to the Afrobasket Championship in Mali.

Nigeria booked their spot in the quarter-finals with a convincing 106-72 win over Egypt on Sunday.

It was the team’s third straight win in Group B, but despite the winning streak, Kalu insists they are staying focused and will not underrate any opponent as they continue their quest to win the competition for the first time since 2005.

Nigeria’s next match is against Guinea on Tuesday, August 22.
