Nigerians have paid tribute to Nollywood actor Obi Madubogwu who died on Monday.
Madubogwu, popular for his role in the blockbuster ‘Battle of Musanga’, reportedly died in a hospital due to complications after developing a fever.
He is said to have battled diabetes and foot ulcers for some time before he died.
Actor and Chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos chapter, Victor Osuagwu described the actor’s death as a shock and a great loss to the movie making community in Nigeria.
“He was getting better; we thought he has passed the critical stage, his legs were already getting better, so we were surprised to hear the news of his passing,” Osuagwu said.
Fans of the Veteran actor took to their twitter pages to pay tribute.

Madubogwu’s remains will be taken to his home state on Tuesday.
