The Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has assured residents that all ongoing projects will be completed before the end of his tenure as a special arrangement to deduct a certain amount from the Internally Generated Revenue has been set aside to pay contractors.

He also called on the incoming local government chairmen to focus on how to improve on internally generated revenue when elected.

The governor made the call while hosting the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari who paid him the traditional Salah homage.

The emir who was accompanied by chiefs and other traditional rulers praised the governor for his efforts in transforming the state in all sectors and urged him not to relent in continuing to complement the salary of local government workers.

In Response, the governor reiterated the determination of his administration to continue to bail out the third tier of government adding that since the state government has settled the issue of unpaid salary of its workers, local governments too should borrow a leaf to correct the situation.
