In order to curb recurrent criminal attacks allegedly committed by herdsmen, the Edo state government has beefed up security at flashpoints in the state.

The action is aimed at providing a permanent solution to alleged criminal activities by herdsmen in the state.

The Deputy Governor of the state, Philip Shaibu, disclosed this while responding to yet another murder allegedly perpetrated by herdsmen in Oben community in Edo State.

Shaibu said that the government is beefing up security at flash points across the state to forestall reoccurrence of such murder and alleged herdsmen attacks.

The spokesman of the Edo State House of Assembly Damian Lawani in reaction to the murder said the Edo State House of Assembly will revisit the contentious Edo State anti-open grazing bill with a view to capture the interest of all stakeholders in the state.
