A group of international celebrities are using their social media accounts to ask for donations to rebuild Mexican cities severely damaged after last week’s 7.1 earthquakes.
Touched by the hundreds of volunteers that have been helping with rescue maneuvers in Mexico City, Mexican social media influencer, Juanpa Zurita, started a GoFundMe campaign.
American actor Ben Stiller uploaded a video supporting Zurita’s campaign.
Mexican actors Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna created their own link to receive international donations to help Mexicans that lost their homes and love ones.
Colombian singer Maluma joined forces with American actress Eva Longoria and announced that they will be hosting a gala on November 1st in Mexico City and will donate all money raised there to help the recovery efforts.
The 7.1 quake killed at least 325 people and left thousands homeless, with many of them living in tents in the streets or emergency housing.
