ASUP Leaders Meet, Declare Indefinite Strike From Wednesday

universityThe face-off between the Ogun State Government and members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics of the state owned polytechnic may have been over as the union has announced the suspension of its four week work to rule action for two weeks.

The suspension order was communicated by the chairman of the union Mr. Kola Abiola at a press briefing held at the union’s secretariat in Abeokuta the state capital.

The union members embarked on the work to rule as a result of some issues bothering on welfare and some processes bothering on the relocation of the polytechnic to Ipokia area of the state by the state government.

With this development, students of the institution can now write their suspended semester examination occasioned by the work to rule action.
