Former Real Madrid forward, Robinho has confirmed that he will appeal his rape conviction by an Italian Court.
Robinho and five other Brazilians were sentenced to 9 years in prison for allegedly assaulting an Albanian woman after plying her with alcohol in a nightclub.
The alleged incident occurred in January 2013, when Robinho was playing for Milan in Serie A.
But the 33-year-old is maintaining his innocence saying he did not participate in the event and is exploring all legal measures to clear his name.
His sentence will be put on hold until the appeals process is completed.
