Nigeria’s men basketball team, D’Tigers, have dropped six places in the latest ranking released by the world basketball ruling body, FIBA.

D’Tigers were one of the top five teams that dropped more than three steps in the ranking along with new Zealand, Egypt, Mozambique and Rwanda.

The runner-up at the 2017 Fiba Afrobasket championship slipped to 32nd position after amassing 211.4 points, but retained their status as the best team in Africa.

Angola, Senegal, Egypt and the current African champions Tunisia make up the top five countries in Africa.
