Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and some state governors have joined the people of Nigeria to congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari on his birthday.
In his goodwill message, Professor Osinbajo described President Buhari who turned 75 on Sunday as a dependable leader.
He also said the President’s commitment to Nigeria has continued to serve as an example to him and to the country.

Some state governors, including Abudulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), and Rauf Aregbosola (Osun) were among the dignitaries present at the Presidential Villa to mark the day with the President.
Earlier, President Buhari said he was overwhelmed by the kindness Nigerians have shown him, especially concerning his health.
He said: “Across the country, people who are praying – whether Muslims, or Christians, or whatever they are; I was overwhelmed by the kindness from Nigerians that they are really bothered about my health.”
The Vice President’s message comes hours after the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, wished President Buhari the blessings of the Almighty and continued wisdom and grace to celebrate another year.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara, also congratulated the President on his birthday and for the global respect and recognition Nigeria has received.
He said the country is steading regaining its past glory as well as winning the confidence of local and foreign investors since the inception of the Buhari administration in 2015.
Mr Dogara commended the President’s anti-corruption war and his relentless effort in tackling the issues of insecurity and unemployment through various reforms and interventions.
Meanwhile, Governor Ayodele Fayose also shunned his political variation with President Buhari to congratulate him on his 75th birthday.
The governor commended the progress made so far by the President in moving Nigeria forward, saying he believes he would do more in good health.
He also called on Nigerians to support President Buhari and prayed that God spares his life for the country.
