The House of Representatives has mandated a joint committee to investigate the controversy that has trailed the decision of the Nigerian Law School to deny a law graduate being called to bar for insisting on wearing hijab.
The resolution followed a motion of urgent public importance sponsored by Rep. Danburau Nuhu, in which he stated that the rights of the law graduate has been violated.
The committee is expected to submit its report in two weeks and come up with appropriate recommendations to guide the House to reach a decision on the matter.
