Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Monday condemned the attack on a traditional ruler in Numana which led to the death of the monarch, his pregnant wife and son.
Residents of Numana Chiefdom in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State were on Monday thrown into mourning when the traditional ruler, Gambo Makama and his pregnant wife were killed by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

El-Rufai in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Samuel Aruwan describes the killing as a calculated threat to peace, and a most unfortunate attempt to intrude into a New Year.
He, therefore, directed security agencies to investigate the criminal act.
The attack is the latest in the series of attacks on communities in Southern Kaduna by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.
Last week, two communities in Jema’a Local Government Area were attacked by gunmen killing 11 people.
