NAICOM Reviews 2013 Micro -Insurance Guidelines

The National Insurance Commission has reviewed Nigeria’s micro-insurance guidelines of 2013 and released for implementation with effect from January 1, 2018.

Key changes in the guideline include market re-structuring, minimum capital and registration requirements as well as statutory deposits.

The operational framework targets all heads of trade associations and insurance institutions with a view to improving financial inclusion in Nigeria.
