Delta State government has confirmed the death of one person as a result of Lassa Fever.
The patient, who is a middle-aged woman, died on Wednesday at the Federal Medical Center in Asaba.
Another case of Lassa fever was confirmed in the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Nicholas Azinge confirmed the incident to Channels Television.
He added that the other case is being treated and the patient is responding to treatment.
